Canadian Solar Panel Price in Pakistan (July, 2026 Guide)
Last month, a friend of mine from DHA Lahore called me and told me that one dealer quoted him Rs 27,000 for a Canadian 615W panel while another quoted him Rs 31,200 for what appeared to be the same spec sheet. Same brand, same wattage, Rs 4,000 apart. This is not a scam this is simply how the Canadian Solar panel price in Pakistan operates, and if you do not understand the reason, you could end up paying more or getting the wrong panel for your roof.

There are a few things that stand out here. Firstly, the price range for 615-625W panels alone is from Rs 23,678 to Rs 29,062 according to the seller same approximate wattage category, up to Rs 5,400 difference.
Secondly, Mono PERC prices vary greatly. dealers in Lahore are selling off 650W units at Rs 19,500 whereas other dealers in Rawalpindi are listing the same wattages for more than Rs 32,000 indicating that PERC pricing largely depends on how desperate a dealer is to get rid of the stock rather than the panel itself. When you’re getting quotes, always ask for the exact model code, not just “Canadian 650W” this is the only way to be sure that you are comparing like with like.
Why do Canadian Solar panel prices fluctuate so dramatically among different sellers?
The main reason is technology differences, not just the markup. Canadian Solar offers at least three very different types of solar panels in Pakistan currently, and these panels are priced very differently from each other.
Firstly, at the bottom end, we have the older Mono PERC panels in the power range of 550W to 660W these are the types that have been on the market for a few years now. Lahore dealers have a listing for 650W Mono PERC at only Rs 19,500 which works out to about Rs 30 per watt. This actually is a clearance-stock price, and if you’ve been wondering, these are single-glass, front-side-only panels. So, while they are perfectly fine for a very budget off-grid setup in Muzaffargarh, where every rupee counts, they are not for a maximum yield on a very limited rooftop space in Lahore.
The standard N-Type Bifacial panels are what most homeowners in Islamabad and Karachi are buying these days. Lahore dealers show the 610W to 630W N-Type Bifacial at Rs 28,670 to Rs 30,555 which is around Rs 46 to Rs 48 per watt. Karachi dealers are also selling similar 615W and 620W at Rs 31,200 and Rs 31,400 respectively. Islamabad dealers are showing Canadian’s 610-640W N-Type Bi-Facial at Rs 44 per watt, which is about Rs 27,060 for a 615W panel.
The most technologically advanced is Canadian’s HJT (Heterojunction) technology truly the latest technology that among other things gives better temperature coefficient which is very significant when your rooftop is getting extremely hot under the Faisalabad sun. Dealers have the 620-625W HJT Bi-facial at Rs 46.50 per watt, or about Rs 29,062 a panel a clear Rs 3 to 4 per watt premium over standard N-Type.
If you want to see the actual stock rather than averages, we have standard N-Type in both the 585W as well as 610W TopCon Bifacial Double Glass versions, and both are priced within Rs 44-48/watt band as discussed. It is also a good idea to compare these with Jinko’s 590W N-Type Bifacial since both brands usually do not differ by more than a couple of rupees per watt.

What does a real system cost | A 5kW example
Suppose you want to set up a typical 5kW net-metered solar system for a 10-marla house in Rawalpindi, which technically is what most people inquiring about Canadian panels actually want. At around Rs 45/watt blended average (that is a mixture of what SunSolar, Powerhouse, and SolarPanelPrices.pk are quoting for standard N-Type), you’re going to spend about Rs 225,000 on the solar panels alone which will be roughly 8 to 9 panels of 600-620W capacity.
If you include a good hybrid inverter (budget anywhere from Rs 150,000 to Rs 200,000 based on brand Solis, Growatt, and Goodwe are the most popular local brands), the mounting structure, DC/AC cabling, and labour, then your all-in 5kW solar system will cost you somewhere between Rs 550,000 and Rs 650,000. With WAPDA/LESCO electricity unit rates that are currently in the Rs 55-65 range for the higher slabs after your consumption goes up due to load-shedding, this is usually a payback period of three to four years it will be even shorter if you are currently paying a lot for peak-hour electricity tariff.
Think you may not need a 5kW system at your house?
Instead of guessing, use your last 3 electricity bills on our solar load calculator and it will determine your ideal solar system size based on your actual consumption rather than a generic figure.
As far as inverters go, we mostly select Canadian panels with either the Growatt 3.5kW single-phase hybrid inverter for smaller households or the Knox Krypton Eco 4kW hybrid inverter for somewhat heavier loads both are well within Canadian’s MPPT voltage range.

The N-Type vs P-Type
It is something no one explain unless you carefully read the fine print the Pakistani market has already seen. Canadian almost completely withdrawing the P-Type panels. Every current product that I discovered from all sellers was N-Type in some way whether Mono PERC, standard Bi-facial, or HJT. In case a dealer offers you a “Canadian panel” at a very low price without clarifying if it is an N-Type or any other type of cell technology, you should be asking straight away.
Canadian Solar has an official authenticity checker where you type in the serial number from the panel’s back label and it verifies the model against their production database. It only takes two minutes and it’s the best single thing you can do before handing over the deposit. I’d even suggest doing this when you really trust the dealer, because a lot of “genuine” panels that end up in smaller markets like Hall Road in Lahore are repackaged or relabeled at some point in the supply chain.

Reality Check: City by City
Price differences between cities are not so significant even for a brand like Canadian since almost all the stock of this brand comes through the same wholesalers, but still there is a variation. The general A-grade panel price range is Rs 42-48/watt in Karachi against Rs 43-50/watt in Islamabad and Peshawar. Although this is not Canadian-specific, but it is in line with what I have found, when it comes to the Canadian listings – the retailers of Lahore and Rawalpindi are slightly more expensive than the pure rate-aggregator sites, probably because they are including installation support and warranty registration in the bundle rather than just selling the panels.
Ordering in bulk – for example, if you are going for the commercial rooftop of a kanal-sized plot – is the right time to ring up instead of simply relying on the posted per-unit pricing. The discount made available on a 20+ panel order is ordinarily 5-8% off the marked prices. Browse our comprehensive Canadian Solar range for the availability of different wattages or contact us directly for a bulk quote – on items above 15-20 panels, our prices are normally better than the listed per-unit prices.
Actual list of products I would advise you to get
Mostly for your typical residential solar net-metering system, a standard N-Type Bifacial solar panel with a power range of 600-630W would be an ideal choice. The cost per watt is approximately Rs 44-48, you will get the benefit of bifacial (5-10% of extra yield from the reflected light of the light-colored rooftop or gravel base), and most importantly, you will not be taking a risk with the obsolete stock of Mono PERC that dealers are rushing to get rid of hardly. Unless you’re chasing HJT for specific reasons such as high levels of heat exposure, or you’re optimizing the output of limited roof space, usually the additional cost of HJT wouldn’t be justified in a typical home scenario.
If you are considering Canadian but are still in dilemma whether to choose it or any other Tier-1 brand, we have done the similar multi-city study of Longi Solar panel price in Pakistan that you can check out before making a final decision. Apart from panels, the inverter is something that you shouldn’t overlook at all – we have a range of solar inverters which will definitely help you to ensure that whatever you are choosing to pair with the panels is a good and compatible match for Canadian’s voltage and current specs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the current price of a Canadian Solar panel in Pakistan?
As of 27th July 2026, N-Type Bifacial Canadian panels’ standard models have the price of Rs 44-48 per watt. For HJT models, the prices are a little bit higher at Rs 46-47/watt, and as for the older variety of Mono PERC stock, sometimes it can be got cheaper, even under Rs 30/watt.
Are Canadian Solar panels genuine or original in Pakistan?
Canadian Solar operates through authorized distributors in Pakistan only. Besides, all the panels have a serial number which can be checked through Canadian’s own authentication checker. Make sure you get this from your dealer before making any payment.
Is Canadian Solar better than Jinko or Longi?
All of them are Tier-1 manufacturers and their products have quite similar performance. When looking at the places providing prices, it turns out that Canadian is Rs 2-5 per watt costlier than Jinko and Longi at the equivalent N-Type Bifacial specifications. Actually, it’s mainly due to the way the brand is positioned rather than there being a clear difference in efficiency.
How many Canadian solar panels do I need for a 5kW system?
If you choose panels that are rated at 600-620W, then you should have around 8 panels to approximately get a DC capacity of 5kW. But, most the installers compensate for the real-world losses by sizing slightly higher than the inverter rating.
Do Canadian solar panels work well with loadshedding and net metering setups?
Absolutely! Bifacial N-Type panels are an ideal match to the hybrid inverters of net metering. This enables you to store the electricity that you generate during the day to LESCO or your local DISCO, and when there is loadshedding in the evening, you can get the power either from the grid or the battery backup.
